What We Do

Kandu Incorporated is a not-for-profit organization that couples a menu of business, product, and services offerings with our overarching mission of building work skills and creating opportunities for people with employment barriers.

We are the custom wholesalers for picture framing. We offer a full complement of framing products and services, from building ready-made frames to order fulfillment, including custom framing and packaging. We have produced frames under government contract for 20 years and currently manufacture frames nationally for over 300 commercial businesses and 7 artists.

Kandu Placement Services works to connect the employment needs of our area businesses with an employee base that is often overlooked but highly dedicated. We recruit employers and place employees with employment barriers in enriching work settings. We are well connected within our community, and successfully place about 600 individuals annually at businesses in Ottawa County.

At Kandu, we help to develop the skills and talents of people so they can function at the top of their game. We help people to successfully compete in the job market, but we also help people to reach vocational goals that might not be possible without the assessment, training, and coaching services of Kandu. Our end goal is to place clients into jobs with local employers. Our short-term goal is to provide paid training opportunities as a means to gaining employment skills.

Kandu Incorporated has built a responsive and flexible business. Our skilled work force is versed in accomplishing a number of tasks, from subassembly to packaging to rework to light machine work, so we can complete accurately a variety of jobs. Kandu provides supervisors and job coaches, whether we work at your facility or ours. You can be assured that your job is done correctly and to the specifications and schedule required.
